De luetten Oewerpetters

De luetten Oewerpetters is the child group of the folk dance and national costumes assocation "De Oewerpetters" Inc.
In high German the name is called:
„The little transgressors".

The child dance group exists since 27 years.
De Oewerpetters were founded 1976 by her present leader
Undine Stiwich
and her mother
Herta Krumpa.
Then 5 years later, in 1981,
was also for progression of the younger generation
founded the child dance group
„De luetten Oewerpetters".
In the meantime, any childrens play a part in the adults group, because folk dance does fun in every age.
In the child dance group the children dance in the age between
6 and 14 years traditional dances of the Wendland
(County in Germany near Hamburg)
and also dances which were traditional in the low German country.

National costumes:
The national costumes of the children are provided
with  help of less photo from the 19-th century
and are made afterward this.
The girls carry a small „Rundmuetz (roundcap),
a linen shirt, a corsage with a small cotton cloth
and in addition a coloured long rock with a white linen apron.
The national costume of the boys
(unfortunately just nobody active in the dance group)
exists of black trousers with waistcoat and linen shirt.

Practise:
We meet every Wednesday of 17:30 - 18:30 o'clock
in the House for all generations Luechow
and have a lot of fun with the dancing
of old wendlaendish child-dances which have danced earlier the children here in the Wendland.
In addition the children slowly learn the typical dance steps,
as for example the waltzes, polka and mazurka
which are used in the most different dances.
With live music of accordion and guitar
we have together a lot of joy by dancing and the preparation of shows to different arrangements.
For the show get the childs the wendlaendish child national costumes from stock of the assocation.

Activities:
Beside the dancing we also have every year fun with a common excursion and other small celebrations.
Our destinations during the last years were besides other things
the heathland park Soltau, centre park Bispingen, the animal park in Nindorf, the Salue in Lueneburg, Malente, the bathland Wolfsburg and the Karl May-festival in Bad Segeberg.

Shows:
De luetten Oewerpetters are well matched excellently
with her quick dances and her pretty national costumes
on every celebration or arrangement,
as a small surprise in the remaining program.
The children are glad about every appearance in which they can present the learnt dances to a nice audience.
They show her dances in the nice national costumes
with pleasure to all opportunities
like family celebrations or shooting-matches and village parties.
Also they have already danced on birthday-parties, weddings,
spring celebrations, school parties, city parties,
at the heathland-party in Nemitz,
with the city offensive in Dannenberg,
in the flax-party in Jameln,
with asparagus-Sunday in Luechow,
in Roundvillage-museum in Luebeln
and on many other arrangements in the county.
Besides the children were also already to be admired several times
on television, as for example in the
"Aktuelle Schaubude" .
You can engage the group at any time by telephone
with Angela Schneider.

Taster hours:
Today for about 15 years the child group becomes leaded by
Angela Schneider,
supported by Ulrike Wendig.
The children dance to the live music (accordion and guitar).
They practice every Wednesday during 1 hour from 17:30 o'clock
in the youth-centre Luechow.
We invite any time warmly all boys and girls who have joy to dancing to try out the dance-steps with a taster hour and to get to know us.
We would be glad very much over there to greet next Wednesday
a few new dance-enthusiastic children here
in the House of all Generations!
